ITD tighten relations with UNCTAD, WTO and international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland

ITD delegation, Dr. Kamalinne Pinitpuvadol, Executive Director, Mr. Sven Sylvian Callebaut, International Adviser and Ms. Phattharawan Sukkantharak, Director, Office of Knowledge Management and Acting Director, Office of Regional Cooperation and Assistance received a warm welcome from the representatives of UNCTAD, WTO and various international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland in March 2016.

The meetings were on May 14-16 and 18, 2016 with a fruitful discussion which led to the joint future works to assist developing countries in the region in building their capacities through training and research programmes in the area of international trade, finance, investment, development and other relevant areas.

In honour of ITD, during this period had a chance paid a courtesy call on H.E. Boonyarit Kalayanamit, Thai Ambassador for Permanent Mission of Thailand to World Trade Organization.

ITD created by UNCTAD and the Thai government during the Tenth Session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD X) held in Bangkok in February 2000. ITD is a non-profit and independent organization established under the Royal Decree on the Establishment of the International institute for Trade and Development (Public Organization) B.E. 2544 (2001) and officially inaugurated on May 1, 2002.
