Knowledge Sharing through Seminar on “Economic Linkage: Driving Force to Propel the Businesses between Thailand – Myanmar”

ITD by Office of Knowledge Management joined hand with Office of Commercial Affairs-Kanchanaburi Province, the Federation of Thai Industries-Kanchanaburi Chapter and the Federation of Thai Industries to organize seminar on “Economic Linkage: Driving Force to Propel the Businesses between Thailand – Myanmar” on June 16, 2016 at Kanchanaburi Province. The seminar presided over by Kanchanaburi Governor, Mr. Sak Somboonto and gave a special remarks on ‘Role of Regional Economy: The Key to Build Stability, Prosperity and Sustainability of Thai Economy’

ITD’s Executive Director, Dr. Kamalinne Pinitpuvadol presented his views and encouraged participants taking advantage of international trade agreements to strengthen business between Thailand and Myanmar. Mr. Boon Intiratana, Former Minister Counsellor (Commercial) to Myanamr updated the participants on economic, trade and investment in Myanmar under the administration of President Htin Kyaw. Various perspectives on trade, investment and tourism have been shared/presented by experts/ experiences persons namely Mr. Vichai Kemthongkum of Oriental Unique Co., Ltd., Dr. Pussadee Polsaram of AEC Strategies Center, University of Thai Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Suthep Aromrucks of Thai Tourism Promotion Association and Mr. Wimon Punkong of Office of Knowledge Development, ITD with expecting to link/ build up/ expand cooperation/ business for the propelling of economy between the two countries.

The seminar attracted more than 100 participants from government and private sectors of Kanchanaburi, Nakhonpathom, Ratchaburi, Supanburi, Petchaburi, Prachuabkirikhan, Chumporn and Ranong.
