Chula-ASEAN Week Explores “Reimagining ASEAN in a Changing World Order and Integration”

August 17, 2023 -The 10th Chula-ASEAN Week, organized by ASEAN Studies Center of Chulalongkorn University in collaboration with the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD), has kicked off with a dynamic start. Themed “Reimagining ASEAN in a Changing World Order and Integration,” the event aims to delve into the evolving landscape of Southeast Asia’s role on the global stage.

Held from August 16th to 18th, 2023, the Chula-ASEAN Week serves as a platform for renowned scholars, policymakers, business leaders, and experts to discuss and exchange insights on the ever-changing dynamics within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The event has drawn the participation of diverse co-organizers, including The Secretariat of Representatives, King Prajadhipok’s Institute, Thailand, ASEAN Information Center (TAIC) at Chulalongkorn University, and the Right Livelihood College Bangkok.The focal point of the event is the Saranitet Conference Room, situated on the 2nd floor of the Main Auditorium at Chulalongkorn University. The Welcomed by Mr. Suphakit Chareonkul, Deputy Executive Director (Academic) and Acting Executive Director of ITD. One of the standout sessions, “Resetting Priorities of ASEAN Businesses,” was expertly moderated by Ms. Sirikan Prasertying, Director of the Office of International Cooperation at ITD. This session fostered a robust conversation among industry leaders, shedding light on the strategies that ASEAN businesses should consider as they adapt to evolving economic landscapes and seize new opportunities.
