The shipping industry plays a crucial role in driving and elevating
Thailand’s international trade. However, the increasing volume of goods and
maritime transport vessels has led to a 20% rise in CO2 emissions from the
shipping industry over the past decade, posing environmental hazards and
contributing to climate change.
This seminar aims to exchange ideas on strategies to reduce CO2
emissions in the shipping industry, thereby enabling stakeholders to utilize them
for sustainable management of maritime freight transportation and further
growth of Thailand’s international trade.
