Seminar Opening green windows: Technological opportunities for a low-carbon world in Asia and the Pacific

The International Institute for Trade and Development (Public Organization) or ITD, in cooperation with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), will organize the seminar on “Opening green windows: Technological opportunities for a low-carbon world in Asia and the Pacific.”, (Hybrid Seminar), which will be scheduled on Thursday 18 May 2023 at 12.45-13.45 hrs. at Meeting Room A, the United Nations Conference Center, Bangkok.

 

This event will present UNCTAD’s Technology and Innovation Report 2023, followed by an interactive discussion between experts covering the recommendations of the report for countries in Asia and the Pacific to move forward in promoting sustainable development. It will highlight good practices by national governments and the international community that gather resources and build the required know-how to support developing countries in taking advantage of the green windows of opportunity. The event will also discuss successful examples of national and regional initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality, as well as examine innovative instruments to foster a more collaborative approach to green innovation in the region.
