Economic forecasts tell us where the economy may be heading. But there is another perspective worth listening to: the people making business decisions on the ground.
Are they seeing opportunities for growth? What is holding them back? How are they responding? And what would help businesses become more productive and competitive?
These are the questions behind the KAIZEN™ Economic Barometer Thailand. On 21 October, International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) and Kaizen Institute Thailand will launch the first edition of the Barometer in Thailand, capturing how business leaders see the environment ahead and how they are responding to it.
The Barometer looks at five key areas, from how leaders see the business environment evolving and the main constraints limiting growth and performance, to how organisations are responding, what will drive productivity and competitiveness, and what policy support could make the biggest difference.
The Barometer has been running in Portugal for over a decade and has since expanded to Spain and France. Thailand is its first edition in Asia. The goal is to turn the views and signals of business leaders into data, trends, alerts and recommendations that can support better decisions.
