The International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) was established by the “Royal Decree Establishing the International Institute for Trade and Development (Public Organization) B.E. 2544”. The Institute’s objectives are training and research on trade-related and development issues and carry-out other activities which are in-line with the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. The past performance promoted Thailand and other developing countries to be able to achieve optimal benefits from the dual processes of globalization and liberalization and enhance the potential and capacity of human resources in developing countries, particularly in the Asian region.
Located in the heart of Bangkok on the campus of Chulalongkorn University, the Institute is a non-profit organization, conducting activities in close cooperation with the Royal Thai Government, UNCTAD and other regional and international organizations.
